Hosts
Host families participating in the program do so to share their American way of life and to learn about their foreign student’s culture. Each host family is paid monthly to cover expenses to provide housing, food and transportation back and forth to school. Should students require additional items such as clothing, he or she will be responsible to pay for them. Students are very motivated to perform and usually have a positive influence on their host family brother’s and sister’s study habits. Host families are advised to include their student just as if he or she is their son or daughter. Students should participate in all family activities including chores, church services and any experiences that help the student better understand our culture.
